Child Friendly Space

It is a safe environment for the child through which he can participate in play, build social relationships, develop his abilities, as well as rebuild their psychological states.
The purpose of the spaces
• Giving children an opportunity to express themselves, develop them and build their personality.
• Finding ways to help children who are exposed to fear and terror as a result of crises to overcome them.
• Providing awareness of sexual harassment and building safety boundaries.
• Training them in the art of dialogue, speech and leadership.
• To guide them properly to use technology for the purpose of development away from wasting time.
After ten years of loss in Syria, and according to the report issued by UNICEF, 90% of children need support because the war, the economic crisis and the Corona epidemic all push families to the edge of the abyss.
Participants in the Child Friendly Spaces program are selected by filling out a special form in which the child and family situation is studied and the children most in need are selected to be included in the program and to receive support.

Fear

#Fear is a natural feeling triggered when encountering unfamiliar situations or circumstances. The #Balsam team has discovered a set of practical strategies to confront and conquer fear. then the children, symbolically depict their fears in small drawings, juxtaposed with larger depictions of themselves, symbolizing their ability to rise above their fears.

Physical Health

The #Balsam team enhanced its understanding of #physical_health by exploring the advantages of exercise and its significance to the body. This included boosting #self-confidence and energy levels, enhancing brain health and memory, and ultimately promoting improved sleep quality.

Playing

Playing is essential for children’s socialization and can enhance their mental and physical well-being. In order to promote this, we set up a play and entertainment activities, bringing a day full of joy and laughter to the children.

Feelings

A person has many feelings that make up his personality, to make communication easier between people, and the topic was interesting in which we tested different feelings with Balsam children, and we confirmed this talk through an activity that encouraged children to express their feelings without fear or hesitation
